Captain Winnow opened one of the iron doors, and a shove from another soldier sent Gaur stumbling inside. The Captain went in with Gaur and shut the door from inside.
Devvyn watched as another opened farther down the hall, and Victor disappeared with a grunt.
That left just him and Sergeant Eyric, who marched him to a waiting cell, pushed him through, and slammed the door behind.
The iron door clanged, ringing in Devvyn's head. He heard boots echo down the hall, then up, before the door opened again and Eyric appeared in the doorway.
